Scott Edwards aka Avus, known for releases on Border Community presents three new tracks, proving a keen sense of tricky minimal sound aesthetics.  “Tear” is a hypnotic rolling ride with playful micro-melodies, echoing vocal fragments and a pounding kick churning everything from below. “Ride” is more abstract with stripped bare percussion that sounds like a cross between Herbert and The MFA. Finally, “Flip” closes out the EP, another dancefloor sizzler with dubby vibes.
